We believe in living a writer’s life, and that this alone is a privilege. To live in this way is to set your heart out on the table for lunch, to ask why at every turn, to learn the names of every tiny village and shopkeeper you encounter. It is to turn on all senses, all of the time. It is to always move towards, never away and take in life until you are painfully full on it.

Immersive writing retreats
Writing retreats are the heart of who we are. Trust & Travel was originally created on the hazy dream of writing our hearts out on a tropical beach somewhere… and that’s exactly what we do.
Every retreat is designed with the intention to foster authentic expression, confidence, and creative breakthroughs. We host daily writing workshops, meditation, yoga, discussions, and so much more. Group sizes are small to foster intimacy and connection.

Meet the Founders
Jade is a journalist, travel writer, and founder of Trust & Travel.
Erin Rose is a multi-genre writer, teacher, and cofounder of Trust & Travel.

She uses her gift with words to foster human connection through impactful storytelling. To her, writing is about meaning-making, it’s about creating bridges of shared experiences between people. Jade has spent the past 15 years writing for publications such as Monocle, Conde Nast Traveller UK and US, GQ, Travel + Leisure, People, Passion Passport, Here Magazine, and Uproxx.
When she’s not writing for print, she’s teaching internationally, working on her poetry collection, or moving between worlds, human and digital, social and IRL, finding and producing stories that deserve to be seen.

Her short stories have been widely celebrated, winning awards and publications in Glimmer Train, Narrative, The Greensboro Review, and more. Her lyrical essay collection, The Blue Years, was published in 2024, and she is currently querying her first novel, Culling.
She received her MFA in fiction at Boise State University, where she also spent years teaching creative writing. Since graduation, she has gone on to teach in writing workshops around the world. She works as a travel writer, copywriter, and creative consultant.
