Poetry of the Summer Solstice: Word Witchery & Writing Spells

$45.00

June Writing Workshop with Kate Belew
Thursday, June 15th @4pmPST

This workshop has already taken place, you will receive a recording of this session.

Summer sits on the horizon. During this time, the days lengthen, the air warms, and the poetry of the season shares a summer secret, one of myth, folktales, and the wild earth. During summer, we can tap into language and symbols of abundance, growth, and sacred fires.

This writing workshop will explore seasonal inspiration related to the summer solstice, helping to craft and create poems that tie in with the themes and dreams of the season, magically connecting with the sun and allowing the writer to craft a writing spell using word witchery.

Kate Belew is a Brooklyn-based writer, poet, storyteller, and Witch from Michigan. She co-hosts Magick & Alchemy, a Tamed Wild podcast about mythology and witchcraft. Kate facilitates and teaches writing and witchy workshops and has an MFA in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College. Her writing can be found in a variety of publications. She is a lifelong student of Herbalism, Astrology, Healing, and Witchcraft.  Learn more about Kate's work at katebelew.com or on Instagram @k8belew.
